Australian Nu-Metal quartet Headwreck is one of Brisbane’s most impressive rising acts. After a strong debut in 2021, the group, comprising vocalist Connor Hickman, guitarist Jamo Benadie, bassist Dayne Paix, and drummer Colby Horton, has established itself through its distinctive glitch-heavy sound, remaining authentic while appealing to fans of heavy acts the likes of Moodring, Linkin Park, Northlane, and Make Them Suffer.Headwreck has turned what started as steady growth into rapid ascension by establishing an ever-expanding, tight-knit community of dedicated fans, who in 2025 have amassed over a million streams for the unit, proving that hard work, communication, and gratitude pay off.As one of the most impressive live acts around, and with the demand to match, Headwreck has also been dominating on shows alongside stellar acts, including Erra, and Silent Planet to 1500 fans at Brisbane’s iconic venue, The Tivoli, and joined Windwaker, Thousand Below, and Diamond Construct on the Hyperviolence Australian tour; they also joined Inertia and Synge on the Second Shadow album release tour across major cities across the country. Summer saw the group accompany Gravemind across North Queensland in July, as well as joining Northlane, Ocean Grove, and Mirrors for a handful of dates in early August. With new EP ‘Attitude Adjustment’ slated to release in the back end of 2025, it’s only a matter of time before Headwreck goes global.
